Yesterday and Today...Salina and home

Yesterday:
  1. State auditions.  I think I did alright, but I dunno if I did well enough to get in.  And now I'm really freaking nervous and keep refreshing the kmea website constantly and it's crazy.  Why can't they just post the list?
  2. Driving down to downtown Salina for lunch.  I had already eaten, but everyone else had pasta and such at this Italian place.  It was a crazy bunch, but lots of fun.
  3. Midwestern music shop.  haha they had this cool demonstration thing going for trumpet.  I'm sure it would have been more interesting if I played trumpet.  However...
  4. Skater shop.  Pooge took us in there to look at skater shoes.  Then we left.
  5. Art place.  Ok, seriously, still not sure what was going on there.  This lady was really excited that we were there in the first place, and more excited when she found out that we were from KC.  Then fascinated when she found out we all had different zip codes.  Then she showed us each artist, all of whom worked with fabrics.  One just embroidered "brain maps" onto large pieces of canvas.  They were special, and my favorites of the ones we saw.  Then there was another one that just sort of took canvas, took it apart, painted it, then put it back together.  So somehow it was special painted canvas with designs on it.  Wow.  Then there was the person that made costumes that people danced in that looked like satanic trees.  They were kinda scary.  Then Ren showed us how to knot yarn.
  6. Home again, home again, jiggity jig.  Wow.  The bus ride home was HILARIOUS!  "Suck my coked up, hermaphroditic baby's dick."  and so on.  And ridiculous amounts of cards.
  7. Chiefs.   Let's not go there.
TODAY!
  1. Working with little christian children.  They were adorable.  My first task of the morning?  Making a little 2 year old girl stop crying.  Success.  Then another little girl decided I was her favorite and sat on my lap for the rest of the first part of the morning.  Except when we had to stand up.  In which case she made me hold her.  She was adorable and almost cried when I had to go help another little boy.  She only left when her parents came to pick her up.  Then there were piggy back rides in the gym.  Then to the treehouse room where we made fortune tellers.  And I made a new friend who decided I was her favorite.  Then I had to go to work
  2. Work.  Not really a whole lot to say about this.  Except I was really hungry the whole time.
  3. After work.  Went to Taco Bell, realized I needed gas, went to the gas station, Mom calls.  She wants sour cream for the tacos she just made.  Crap.  Oh well.  So I go to the Price Chopper that's right by the gas station.  Then I went home.
  4. Now.  I'm exhausted.  I'm nervous about state.  And I have hw left to do that I'm way to tired to do.  I can't even make facial expressions.  I"m essentially dead.
  5. Later.  Desperate Housewives w/ mom.  yay.  Then I"ll probably do some hw wrong b/c I'm so tired.  Then bed.  Yay.
I'm not ready for tomorrow.

new years

whoops...got a d second quarter in calc....probably did as badly on those last tests as I thought

Resolutions (that I'll probably forget within the week...or at least the month)
  1. Lie less
  2. Actually do homework
  3. Do things I'd usually be too afraid to do
  4. Care more about...everything
  5. Exercise more
  6. Other things, but I'm too lazy to put them on this list (notice "be less lazy in general" did NOT make the list...laziness isn't necessarily bad...)
These are the things I say I will do even though we all know I'll only do them for a week or so.  After all, isn't that what New Years is all about?

tout

what do you do when everything is wrong
and nothing is right
do you turn and run?
or do you stay and fight?

look out, i'm gonna say...fuuuuuuck

shit.

If I do this, I could hurt one friend, but if I do that, I could hurt another and I don't know I don't know anymore and I can't figure it out and...fuuuuck.'

what the hell.  seriously.

if god exists, he's got a horrible fucking sense of humor.
